The Castle Arechi, 300 metres above sea level, overlooking the city, forming the northern summit of a triangular defensive scheme coincides with the slopes of Mount Bonadies.

The castle now offers a splendid panorama of the city and the entire Gulf of Salerno. In the area restored was first created a core exhibition of materials Castle (mostly medieval pottery and coins), a hall for exhibitions and a hall for conferences and congresses.
